Clinic: #4
Clinician: Brandy Ferganchick
Date: July 13, 2024
The 4th and Final Clinic, of 2024 was a fun day, but it WAS HOT!!!! We ended with a celebration in Estella’s nice big barn, with a GINORMOUS fan trying to keep us all from overheating. The clinic was held in Eckert, at Estella’s Obstacle Course on July 13, 2024, arguably on of the Hottest Days of the Summer. “Gratitude for the coaches, volunteers and for the participants”. “Gratitude for Brandy’s knowledge and her unique teaching ability and the patience of a Saint”. A direct quote from a clinic participant (Holly).
The clinic began an hour earlier in an effort to “BEAT The HEAT”. Obstacles from previous clinics were reviewed . Brandy introduced 2 new obstacles early in day, water crossing and a rope gate. The water crossing proved to be the most entertaining. The 1st horse crossing the small irrigation ditch, had legs made of sugar. 4 legs melted simultaneously as the horse entered the water. Robin had obviously experienced this phenomenon before as she was off before Sunny attempted his bath.
We took a short break and then proceeded with our friendly competition before lunch. All the participants were congratulated for all their hard work and improvement from April until July. AMAZING!!! All participants were given a Gift Bags to thank them for trusting the coaches and taking these clinics so seriously. Those who attended all four clinics were given a special certificate.
Awards were given to the winners of each class with Sandy & Sunny being voted “Most Improved”. All who participated in the Clinic Series were WINNERS, participants as well as the coaches and volunteers. All of us learned how to become better partners to our trusty steeds.
Gift bags were presented to the coaches Beth, Betty, Estella, Gwen, Juleen and Maggie. Head Coaches, Brandy & Dodger were praised for all their efforts and for spending so much of their personal time working with riders. CJ was also recognized for all her hours and hours of work with entires, answering questions and participating in the clinics. Special Thanks to Estella for letting us use her facility. Hats off to all who participated in this clinic series.
