Event: May Birthday Ride Tale

May 4, 2024 was our May Birthday Ride and what an absolutely gorgeous day it was! Seventeen members and two guests joined us for a fun, educational and all around delightful ride. We were honored to have a Granddaughter (Anna) riding with her Grandmother (Dawn).
Chief Colorow was the main topic of conversation and an offering of homemade biscuits was made in his honor at his Tophat spot.
This was the debut of the Rocky Talkies and the Safety Vests for members of the ride committee. The radios worked well as the group did get fairly spread apart. The lead rider, drag rider and the three other committee members were sprinkled amongst the group but were able to stay in contact and on the same page. The Rocky Talkies and Safety Vests were a very good investment, serving as “lighthouses” for those in need and instilling confidence when riders wanted to locate someone who can help them.
Maggie was the lone May Birthday Girl and she wrote the following:
“Wonderful day to ride! Potluck lunch was great! Vocals were joyfully in tune for “Happy Birthday” – Thank you all. A joy to be out riding our horses in beautiful Colorado! How truly blessed we are to live, have a circle of friends and horses to enjoy life!!!!!”
