Program: Brett Anderson with the local Search and Rescue will present on back country first aid.  This program will also be taped.

Program: Equine Dental Work Dental – Troy Walck; Dental sedation, sheath cleaning, vaccinations, Dr. Brown; Sophia Harris, Various treatments.  Human Massage too.

Where: Delta County Fairgrounds Hotchkiss, 403 Fair Grounds, Hotchkiss, CO 81419 
Clinician: Maggie Rinker & Volunteers
Program: Learn Effective Communication In-Hand & Under Saddle. Including: Foundational skills, obstacles, turn on shoulders & haunches plus more! More information to follow so stay tuned!

Where: Delta County Fairgrounds Hotchkiss, 403 Fair Grounds, Hotchkiss, CO 81419 
Clinician: Clinic Committee & Volunteers
Program: How to Load Your Precious Cargo & Maneuver Your Trailer. Including: Loading your horse in straight, slant and stock trailers, precision backing evacuation protocols, changing a flat, maintenance and more. More details to follow.

Level: Black Ride, 15 miles – 7 hours, Horse & Rider Must be FIT, First 7 miles is approx. 3000 foot elevation gain

  1. You must contact the designated Trail Boss for that ride. A phone number is provided.
  2. Please review Our Guide to a Safe & Enjoyable Trail Ride. Here you will find everything you need to know about how we grade the ride with regard to technical difficulty and lots of information to keep you and your horse safe, happy and have fun.
  3. If you are not a member, you will need to fill out our WSCSC Trail Rider Waiver as well as the Colorado Waiver.
